So soon, a new year has catch up on us and most of us will be doing a lot of reflection and planning. In one of my post this year titled “Mistakes Are Important Part Of Life”, I stated the importance of mistakes as we journey through life, do not ignore or lament over your mistakes of 2010.
Rather embrace it with a smile and critically scrutinize the cause and follies that lead to the mistakes so as to step away from a similar occurrence in the New Year.
Do you remember the quote from Mark Twain which I featured in one of my writings? “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do…”
If you want to have a fruitful 2011 and accomplish it with the happiness you desire, engrain this quote in your heart. Act and act now, for action is progressive, omission is stagnant and retrogressive.
The greatest mistake I made in 2011 is failing to put to use my full potential in the midst of the various opportunities that fell my way.
Failing to acknowledge the full strength of our minds and chasing that which does not fall within our passion will surely push as away from achieving the ultimate satisfaction and happiness we desire in life.
Step into the New Year as a believer. Believe in yourself as you gird up efforts towards your goal. Remember the power of your mind. Do not cultivate the habit of masking your success with negative thoughts as we enter a New Year. The mind is the most powerful gift we hold in our hands, you will certainly become what you think.
Give yourself the hope and put in vigorous efforts to understand the power of the human mind. Carefully focus your mind and interest on the things you are passionate about, the things you believe in and not those that glitters from afar without you knowing the full definition.
Step into 2011 with a success crafted mind, ready to discover and achieve all that you desire and believe in. Do not be held back by the dark side of uncertainty called “Fear”, Remember the “Fear of Failure” cripples success.
The only way you will not repeat the mistakes of 2010 and achieve the much that rest in your heart is putting your mind into full use. Think before you act, think before you jump and carry an all round positive mindset throughout 2011…
My deepest fear in life and for 2011 is that, our minds are powerful beyond measure and yet we do not know. What is your fear? Let us acknowledge and understand the power of our minds as we walk into 2011, think positive and support your positive thinking with hard work.
With the above attitude and mindset, you will surely end 2011 with the smiles you have failed to put on for the end of 2010. Happy New Year!
