Under normal circumstances every Christian is supposed to be on the most wanted list of the devil. But it appears there are some Christians who glorify the devil more than some avowed agents of darkness even do. If all those who go to church were truly salt of the earth and light of the world, the positive content of the gospel would have eroded the dark works of evil in the world. The question you should be asking yourself is: If all people on earth were to be like you, with all the wrong things you do in secret with unrepentant pride, would the world be a better place?
The following groups of people are floundering in self-deception, thinking they are worshipping God when in reality they dishonour Him by their deeds:
- Those Who Honour God With Their Lips But Their Hearts Are Far Away
“Therefore the Lord said: “These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. Their worship of Me is but rules taught by men.” (Isaiah 29:13)
- Those Who Make Time To Listen To The Word But Enjoy Doing The Opposite
“And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. (Ezekiel 33:31).
- Those Who Pay Money To Obtain What God Gives Freely
“When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit. Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God” (Acts 8:19-21).
- Those Who Pray For The Destruction Of People They Should Be Winning For Christ
“When the disciples James and John saw this, they asked, “Lord, do you want us to call fire down from heaven to destroy them[a]?” But Jesus turned and rebuked them.” (Luke 9:54-55)
- Pastors Who Deliberately Misinterpret The Bible To Make Dishonest Financial Gains
“Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind.” (1Peter 5:2)
- Those Who Defend The Evil And Shameful Deeds Of Their Pastors
“Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them. 12 It is shameful even to talk about the things that ungodly people do in secret.” (Ephesians 5:11-12)
Satan does not care how many hours you spend in church pretending to hate him, if you glorify him by your deeds in secret!
After reading this, one really needs to assess their actions. It is the only way we will know whom we glorify.
