When Life Becomes Overwhelming, Take A BREAK!

Life is one hell of a long journey, full of obstacles and unimaginable chaos. Our desire to achieve great things put us in a constant race, jumping potholes and being hit with strange bullets of problems.

Our daily life struggles are made worse by the fact that our time in this world is limited. With each day passing by, the clock of life keeps ticking, making us more desperate in our goals.

Under the pressures of life, one thing we mostly forget is the importance of taking a break, especially when life becomes overwhelmingly difficult.

When you look solely at the fact that our time on earth is limited, you will be tempted to concede to the popular belief that, any minute taken out for a break affects the pace at which you move towards your goal. As a result of this, many of us are in a constant push, moving from one project to another-forgetting the benefits of taking a break.

Speed and consistency are important in life, especially when you want things accomplished. However, these things are not more important than efficiency.

Like any biological clock on a constant tick, our bodies and minds become sluggish when on a continuous move, thereby affecting our total performance.

Speed and consistency may get you there but what a waste of time if a substandard goal is rather achieved?

I know several people who have had to restart a race because their hurry which was characterized by tiredness fetched them substandard results. If they had taken a break in between, the efficiency would have impacted on the results.

Life is indeed one hell of a long journey but remember it is your life and not that of anyone’s to dictate or change. You are the boss of your own life and therefore when you feel tired, take a break. It sparks up the plugs and revives the energy needed for the race.

Do not let the struggles of life be your life…Take control and take a break when needed!

  1. dude i really like this article so keep it up…its very true how sometimes you work endlessly and try to overload yourself to finish your goal, but only to find out that consistancy and short breaks would have been the better option!!!
