Your Life is Equally Beautiful and Meaningful…

Life is too short to keep procrastinating—and yet many of us have become masters of procrastination. It’s not just the hard work we push forward, hoping to get it done some other day; we even let go the fun, hoping to catch it up later in life.

But truly, the only time we have in life is now—and everything we deem important must be acted on now.  Tomorrow may seem just around the corner, but we many never get to see it.

I have met several people who look at my life and say, your life is beautiful and you have a lot of meaningful things going on—mostly, these comments come on days when I feel I am slacking. Though not fully true, they mostly remind me of the need to take on the challenges of life and do the things which matter to me today—as if tomorrow is not an option.

Everyone body has a beautiful life—the secret lies in how we present it to the world and more importantly, to ourselves. When it comes to meaning, we define it—and even though living a meaningful life may seem like a difficult task, it’s pretty easy.

To live a meaningful life is to be happy—and to find purpose in all the small things you do. Instead of waiting for that big opportunity, take the small one available—and move to the next small one. Instead of waiting forever for that big adventure, join the little adventure and eventually, when you add up all the little adventures and opportunities, it would make your life beautiful and meaningful.

When I talk to people about the many countries I have visited, it sounds like such a wonderful adventure to them—but the truth is, I took these trips one after another.  Adding them up makes it seem like such a beautiful thing to have done. Of course it’s beautiful but I created that beauty little by little.

Look around you and begin to take those little actions today—don’t wait for tomorrow, because there is always going to be another tomorrow to the procrastinator.

It’s easy to look at the life of someone and say to yourself; what a beautiful life he or she has. Equally, you have a lot around you which you can start doing today to build a beautiful and meaningful life too.

Your desire to travel may be shielded by financial constraints. But remember it doesn’t have to be an expensive trip to Dubai, why don’t you take an affordable trip to the next town near you?  If you visit a new town each month, you would have visited about 12 different towns by the end of the year—and wouldn’t that be beautiful to tell?

Everyone who seems to have a beautiful and meaningful life built it—and for many, it started one at a time, with one small stone being placed on another to create that enviable beauty we see in their lives.

The young woman with that respectable doctorate degree start from the nursery, then to the primary school—made it to the secondary school and found herself at the University studying for a first degree. She then took the challenege to obtain a masters degree and then a P.hd. When you add them all up today, she seems to have a beautiful and meaningful life of academic excellence. But tear the stages apart and you would find that, she built that life one upon another and you can start to build yours too.

Every life is beautiful; just find a better way to present yours by spicing it up with those little things which would add up in the long run.

Remember, you only have one life so make the most out of it by procrastinating less—and acting more.
