How to Live a Super Fulfilling Life

This is one of those hard truths most people hate to hear—-but we can’t do anything about the fact that life is short. And to even make it a pain, you never know when your short life would be cut off…

Even if you are to live to be 90 years (personally, I do not want to grow beyond that), the only time you really have to live on your own and be your own captain is between 20 and 75. You will have enough strength and maybe money to be able to take charge of your life—and have some good sense to decide on some of the hard issues.

Looking at the raw age or years that you have to be a master of your own boat may make you think you have so many years to yourself but time flies very fast when you are in the master seat. And matching the years to the many things you may want to do in life makes the years pretty short.

Mostly, some of us will spend great deal of our years studying and working in jobs that we hate—-and I pray no one does any of these for the best part of his or her life, if that is not the most fulfilling to them.

Living a fulfilling life to me simple means; living life on my own terms and being able to do some of the things I really want to do, before departing.

To be able to look back and say, I’ve lived a fulfilling life this year, this month or these couple of years, you must first be able to outline those things you so much want to do in life. And by this, I mean the things that if you are told today you have 10 days to live, you would want to do them before your time is up.

After outlining those things that mean so much to your heart, you have to make immediate attempts and plans to let them happen—remember you never know when life will end for you.

If you want to travel around the world and it means so much to your heart, identify that and make sure you start working on getting that to happen as soon as possible. In fact, if that is the most fulfilling thing you want to do in life, get up today and do it. Ignore the fears and uncertainty—and go out there to live that fulfilling life.

If you are the person who wants to help children and make an impact that way, there is no point in postponing this, just fix an immediate time and make it happen for you and the kids—-and you will be fulfilled in those areas.

I know several people with a tall list of things they so much desire to do in life. Anytime I speak to these people, I say, these are obviously the most important things to your life so why are you spending your time doing the less important things now and leaving the important ones to your uncertain future? You never know if you will be here next year, yet you have scheduled the most important things to next year, allowing yourself this year to be doing the things that do not matter much to your life—and inner happiness.

In life, it is always good to have a must-do list or a scale of preference and on this scale; you must put the most fulfilling things up and attach an immediate urgency to them.  Don’t live the brighter day to later, because all you are guaranteed is now and you should make it about those things that are exceptionally important to you.

There is no point in leaving the most fulfilling things to later because by the time you realize, it would be too late—-meaning you never really lived that life that you so much wanted.
